The books center around the lives of four youths from a small village on one of the islands that make up the archipelago of the book’s world, known as the Isles. In the first novel, the character Garric or-Reise discovers that he is, in fact, the direct descendant of the last king to rule the Isles, exactly a millennium ago. Then, as now, the power that fueled all magic in the world rose precipitously, allowing the use of spells so powerful they shattered the cohesion of nations, driving them apart and in the process killing Garric’s ancestor, Carrus, and sinking the island of Yole.

Hi Monty,
I am sorry you found the uploads to be lacking. I find it amazing you can listen to all three books in the matter of a few hours and pass final judgement. I will certainly not argue, since it has been a few years since I listened to them, but I got them here or on Demonoid. I do remember I did not find them missing enough or be of poor enough quality to make them unlistenable.

Oh I did not say they where as you stated unlistenable. I just pointed out 2 facts that I thaught people would like to be aprised of.
There are several points in both of the first books where audio is missing and also Points when the quality of the sound fluctuates.
I made the remark to ensure that everyone would be aware of the issue so as not to be disappointed upon downloading.
The uploads in themselves are great since I have not found any equivolent nor better.
Tecumseh123 it was not my intention to offend in any way, just to be helpfull. Maybe the files have been degraded by time..

Both software and hardware problems can cause files to become corrupted or parts of files.
its certainly possible the files have become corrupted.
but id not use the “degrade over/by time” phrase as it seems bound to cause misunderstanding even if it gets the basic idea across succinctly.
Harddrives have a lifespan and does age as they do small parts of them can become corrupted it then just marks that and stops using those astronomically small bits of it but the information that was there is lost permanently. this is the closest analogy to degrade over time i can think of but this is by almost 100% chance not what has lead to these files to become “bad.
