The Skull Throne of Krasia stands empty.

In the north, Leesha Paper and Rojer Inn struggle to forge an alliance between the duchies of Angiers and Miln against the Krasians before it is too late.
Caught in the crossfire is the duchy of Lakton—rich and unprotected, ripe for conquest.
All the while, the corelings have been growing stronger, and without Arlen and Jardir there may be none strong enough to stop them. Only Renna Bales may know more about the fate of the missing men, but she, too, has disappeared. . . .

File downloaded quickly. Audio quality is perfect.
This is “not” the Graphics Audio version. I personally don’t much care for Graphics Audio. I listen to Audiobooks as I take care of things around the house, or when I’m driving, and I find having a “movie in my mind” far too distracting. I like the feeling of being by the fire while a master storyteller weaves a tale as they rock in their favorite chair. Hypnotic.
I am loving Peter V Brett’s series. I like his characters so much. I know that Grimdark is the rage now, with Grey Characters who sometimes do the right thing, but often are just uninspiring in their laissez faire approach to life. I also grow weary of Game of Thrones willingness to cast characters off a cliff every so often to shock its reader. Peter V Brett writes a story that is intense, often horrible, but always hopeful, always full of tender and loving moments that make the spirit hum like a perfectly struck chord.
I will be supporting this series for certain. Honest word.
